2nd Law?
This morning on KWAVE, Pastor John argued that the second law of thermodynamics dictates mankind is inherently corrupt rather than inherently good. He also offered the popular creationist claim that the 2nd law contradicts evolution. Then he went off a little on how ignorant atheists are. As he does.
Something else he doesn't seem to grasp. Order in society (err--if we can be generous enough to let his wrongheaded appeals to physics serve merely as an analogy) isn't necessarily maintained by "goodness." Rather, cooperation and order are very explainable by mundane factors. "Order" and "the Good" arn't synonomous. It would be rather rediculous to deny seeing a high degree of order at work, for instance, in the Death Star.
